Beauty Inspirations and Motivational Talk!

People might not believe me, but when I was a kid I used to be boyish. I would put on my big brother's shirt and put on a cap and my brothers also used to teach me how to rap (lol). But I remember that as I grew older I would watch my sister get ready in the morning and just be amazed at how she would turn into this girl who looked like she spent hours and hours in the salon but in reality she just covered the bags under her eyes, made her cheeks a little pinker and made her eyes a little wider. I would go through her stuff after she left, and try to do what she just did but I always ended up looking like a clown with two very pink circles on my cheeks and black mascara (that's extremely hard to remove, btw) all over my eye lids. Then, beauty guru's on YouTube came along, and that's when my love for make up began.

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you would just follow whatever you'd see on tv? Whether it's people dancing or singing, you would always find yourself copying whatever they did. When I first saw one of Michelle Phan's makeup videos, I was stunned on how she was able to transform herself from a girl who looked so ordinary, to a girl who looked so similar to Sailor Moon. Then I watched another one of her videos, and another one, and the next thing I knew I already went through all of her videos. Then, i watched one of Amanda Steele (MakeupbyMandy24)'s videos, we're the same age and I was 13 at that time. I remember watching one of her videos where she said "My mom doesn't let me put on make up, because i'm only in Middle School so I only put on lipgloss" and I remember laughing because she made a whole video with only lipgloss and eye shadow and you would see it in her eyes and how she talked how much she wanted to put a whole face of makeup on. I watched her go from that girl, to a girl who slowly grew her makeup collection and now has a whole collection, and has sponsors give her makeup for free. And to think that we're the same age blows my mind because she has accomplished A LOT in 2 years. She gets to attend a bunch of events and conventions and she gets to travel the world, and it all started with a video about lipgloss. The same goes from Bethany Mota (macbarbie07), she used to just experiment with her mom's make up collection and look where it got her now! She has a very successful YouTube account, she travels the world and she has her own clothing line! See, when you're determined to reach for your dreams, you are destined for greatness.

Now, with all the inspiration from those 3 girls plus a whole bunch of beauty guru's, for the past 2 years, i have been slowly growing my makeup collection. I think that right now, I have enough to start off videos. I recently just created my own YouTube video, and last night I filmed my first ever Make Up Tutorial (and hopefully not the last). I don't expect to have a lot of subscribers or likes or views but I know that I just have to be patient because God planned nothing but good things for me. For 2 years i've had this fear of not succeeding, i've probably filmed 15 videos but i never had the courage to upload them because I was scared no one was going to watch it. But now, I learned that you shouldn't predict what would happen in the future, because only God knows what the future lies for all of us. And that you'll never know what the outcome will be unless you try it for yourself. If you fail, then at least you get a lesson out of it, and if you succeed, then continue dreaming. Nobody is stopping you from dreaming, you are the only person in the way of your own goals, you are the only person who gets to decide whether to make your dreams come true or not because who else will get you to do what you want to do aside from yourself, right? Always have believe in yourself first, before expecting others to believe in you. And if people say negative things about you, no matter who they are, as long as you believe in yourself, as long as you have friends who support you and as long as you have God by your side, what they have to say shouldn't matter at all. And as long as you're not getting in the way of other people, as long as you're not doing anything that will harm others and as long as you honor God in everything that you do, then I don't see anything wrong with you following your dreams! Always be the best version of yourself.

You got this! I believe in you! ;)
